Rude Breaker (ルードブレーカー) is a shoot 'em up game and spin-off of the Aleste series developed by Compile in 1996 for the PC-9801 home computer in Japan, only available as part of the 10th volume of the Disk Station Special magazine.
Gameplay[]
At the start of the game the player can choose between three different subweapons. The shot can be enhanced with Power Chips, as well as letter icons which power up the chosen subweapon. Whenever the subweapon is equipped the Wing Lancer gets two side-pod attachments, which can be detached and reattached at will, changing the firing type of the subweapon. Getting hit will make the player lose the subweapon, and a subsequent hit will cause the player to lose a life.
